1 Product Overview

Asphalt Tepid Mixing Agent is a kind of surface active hot mix asphalt agent. After being directly input into the asphalt and blended evenly, it can form a micellar structure in asphalt reducing the sliding resistance of the asphalt film. Therefore, under the premise that the compaction effect is confirmed, a lower construction temperature can be obtained. The asphalt tepid mixing agent can lower the mixing and paving temperature of asphalt mixture for 30℃-50℃ according to the type of binding material and gradation design.

2 Reference Mix Amount

The mix amount for asphalt tepid mixing agent is normally 0.4-0.5% of asphalt mass, which is about 0.25‰ of asphalt mixture.

The packaging is a plastic barrel, with the net weight of 200kg. Handle with care while loading and unloading. Store in a dry and shady place. The shelf-life of the product is 2 years under the condition that the product is unopen and safekeeping.

4 Application Method

    (1) It adopts the same mixing method as asphalt anti-stripping agent does.

    (2) Input it into the asphalt storage pool in the blending station, after pumping it together with the hot asphalt into the asphalt storage tank, mix them evenly either through mechanical blending or through bumping circulation via pump.

    (3) Input it through asphalt conveying pipe in a refinery factory or in a hot asphalt transfer station. Then it is pumped into the truck tank together with hot asphalt, blended evenly with a static mixer or through mechanical blending.
