1 Product Overview

    LM-DW1 Tepid mixing agent (containing crystal water，activating agent, powder form solid of smoke suppressor. The suggested mix amount is 5-6% of asphalt) is input in the process of blending asphalt mixture, in order to cause asphalt a continuous foaming reaction. Foam works as a lubricant, which makes the blending of mixture at low temperature possible. LM-DW1 tepid mixing agent contains 20% activating agent and crystal water, which is released at 85^oC-183^oC，resulting in asphalt foaming. Through adding tepid mixing agent, the asphalt mixture can be blended and treated at a low temperature, a reduction of 20-30 ^oC compared with hot blending asphalt. Therefore, energy consumption can be significantly reduced during the process of asphalt mixture production. The application of tepid mixing agent obviously reduce the emission of CO₂,NO_x and volatile organics. It can also greatly reduce the emission of tail gas and asphalt fume during the process of paving.

    Low paving temperature obviously reduces the harm caused by fume and odor, and the working condition is largely improved. In addition, the reduction of paving temperature turns the rapid completion of a tight-scheduled construction project into reality. Furthermore, in the regeneration of asphalt mixture and in the region with severe weather condition, tepid mixing agent can be used as a supplementary material. The application of the tepid mixing agent is a simple operation, it can be mixed with all kinds of binder. Tepid mixing agent does not need the extension of mixing time and the full load operation of equipment is guaranteed.

2 Reference Mix Amount

    Determine the mix amount and blending time according to the purpose of test (Except for extended construction season, ie: the blending temperature does not decrease for construction in low temperature conditions; in other situations, normally, with the mix amount of 5% - 6% of asphalt mass, LM-DW1 tepid mixing agent reduces the mix temperature of 20℃-30℃）
